Answers
Q: If we book James for our Wedding, will James take the Photographs on the day?
A: Yes, if you book me for your Wedding, I will be your photographer. Your Wedding will not be subcontracted out to other photographers and I don't employ other photographers. We are a husband and wife team.
Q: How long will we have the photographer for on the day?
A: We start at the Brides/Brides Parents house (optional extra on Registry office packages) then on to the Church/place of marriage and we are available up to the Wedding Breakfast at Reception.
Q: A friend of ours has a high quality digital camera; he can take the photos, so why do I need to hire a professional?
A: Because having a good quality camera is only a small part of being a good photographer. A professional photographer will be able to deal with tricky lighting situations (Fully Auto on a camera does not mean its correct) If you use a non professional to do your photographs, will he/she know how to set up groups? Know what to do if it rains? Be able to work quickly? Have a quality that is consistent from beginning to end? Where will the photographs be printed? Will it be a professional lab? What sort of album will your photographs be put in and will they have the time to prepare your photographs for printing and put the album together? What if there are mistakes and certain pictures weren't taken or didn't come out?
Q: How will our photographs be presented and how long after the Wedding?
A: Your photographs will come as an A4 book, 8 photos per page all numbered. This will be used to choose your photographs for the album and reprints. This book is yours to keep when the album and reprints are finished. This will normally be ready for when you come back from your Honeymoon (2 weeks approximately)
Q: How many photographs will you take on the day and can we request particular photos be taken?
A: Approximately 200 -300 photographs. A tick list of standard photographs will be given to you and you may add your special requests. We will work to this list on the day.
Q: Can we upgrade our package to a better album and/or put extra photographs in the album?
A: Yes, you can upgrade your album, have extra photographs in the album and decide to go for bigger size photographs.
Q: What type of media will our photographs be printed on?
A: Your photographs in the album, reprints, and framed pictures will be printed on photographic paper.
Q: Do you photograph Civil Ceremonies?
A: Yes, we will photograph Civil Ceremonies to your requirements.

What type of background do you use?
What type of Portraits do you do?
Do the portraits have to be in the studio? Can we go on location?
When is the best time to photograph Babies?
I always put on a nervous false smile, how do you get round this problem?
Answers
Q: What should we wear for portraits?
A: It depends on what type of portrait you require. If you are looking for the Hi-Key (Pure white background) type portrait I would suggest white clothes. For all other types anything with texture in the clothes. If you were looking for colour portraits, I would say, avoid the fluorescent colours and the traditional white top and black trousers/skirt.
Q: What type of background do you use?
A: We have a range of backgrounds from solid black, white, hand painted canvas, wrinkled in various colours and there are collapsible mottled backgrounds.
Q: What type of Portraits do you do?
A: We do the traditional formal type portrait and the modern relaxed informal/fun type portrait.
Q: Do the portraits have to be in the studio? Can we go on location?
A:The photographs can be taken in the studio, at your house or on location. We offer family portraits for special occassions, Aniversaries, Birthdays where you may want photographs of the whole Family.
Q: What about Model Portfolios?
A: We offer a model portfolio of various poses, backgrounds, different lighting set-ups and you can bring different sets of clothes. The photographs will be put on a CD Rom with a letter to say the photographs can be used for putting on the Website and be used for e-mails Royalty free for the Model Agency.
Q: When is the best time to photograph Babies?
A: The best time for Babies is when they are strong enough to hold their head when lying on their front. This is usually 8 -10 weeks old. They don't need to be able to sit up on their own. We can do photographs before this time, but we are limited on what can be done.
Q:I always put on a nervous false smile, how do you get round this problem?
A: First of all I will never ask you to smile as the sitter feels he/she is under an obligation to smile and it comes out false. It is more important to make you feel relaxed. If I need you to smile, I will crack some joke and make you laugh. With children/toddlers we play games, make noises etc.
